"Six of One, Half Dozen of the Other” by JB Bond (2012)
Located in front of Town Hall, this piece is fabricated from forged steel, concrete, and cedar. Inspired by natural grass forms, it also alludes to the common sights of cattail bogs. However, other interpretations have also been made. One individual told the artist that the “pods” reminded him of a hand-held post pounder. Given his experience with this project and new studio work, JB has secured a solo exhibition at the Bee Hive Gallery in Laramie. The exhibition is currently on view through mid May 2013.
