"Medicine Wheel” by Pam Curry (2014)
My design is meant to honor and remember the people who lived here before us, with their culture and knowledge. It shows a medicine wheel, such as found on Sommers’ Ranch. The tipi and animal figures are inspired by historic winter count drawings by Plains Indians. It’s appropriate for Pinedale because the native history is important to visitors and locals attending Rendezvous and the museum.
